To Anyone Considering Using Computer Care Products From Business Logic CorporationProducts May Not Meet Promises In Warranty Product I bought WinCleaner Complete PC Care is supposed to, when combined with their other “franchised out” product WinCleaner, eradicate viruses and prevent new ones. Since I bought both programs, I have actually received more, not less viruses. Products May Be Detrimental To Your ComputerThe computer repair functions somehow have screwed up my registry such that my computer sometimes, on morning boot-up only loads two programs, my internet adapter software, and a device installation icon, and then hangs, so that I have to restart it. Other times, due to the same registry problems, the program I am working in at the time, usually Word or Excel, just freezes, and the only way to get back to what I was doing is to reboot the PC, which goes back to the problem of only loading two programs on startup and then hanging again. Recently, no doubt due to an undiscovered virus, my IE 6 browser has refused to access any website, either giving me a page could not load error, or, being hijacked by Acoona.com, going to an acoona site (and seeing in the progress bar that accoona.com is controlling the web activity). I repeatedly run the repair functions hoping to fix the problem, but always the same problems You Will Not Be Able To Get Any SupportThis is a real treat. The company, headquarted in India, has only a 1-900 number, and rarely, if ever answers its email. I have tried in the past to report them to Better Business Bureau but had to give up because their contact information was so hard to ascertain. The decision to use the product of course is yours. I am just providing a warning based on experience, in the hope that justice can prevail with these slime. I personally, am considering litigation, as one approach to recoup my losses (ie extensive damage to PC), but perhaps economic pressure in the marketplace is, while certainly quicker in most cases, yet more effective, to cause Business Logic to “clean up its act.” If you wish to share your experiences dealing with
Business Logic or anyone associated with it, please contact me at email: Perhaps we can get some other (anonymous, if you
prefer, of course) accounts of dealings up on this website; when we get
enough, I am going to try getting it linked to Google, Yahoo, etc.. so it can
be more easily found. Your Support Is Appreciated -Screwed by Business Logic Corporation - |
